Message Yes I was speeding...about 60 in a 45. I swear people go flying down this road... 70 is not uncommon to see. I was just flowing with the speed of traffic and not paying too much attention. It was a very gradual curve and the rear tires started going sideways kinda like I hit a patch of water...but the road was dry. Anyways I corrected and the rear end went out the other way... I jumped into a median and the car jumped back into the lane I was in and the car was totally out of control... I flipped and not sure if I rolled more than once. The car ended up sliding into a steel bridge which stopped me from going over a 30 foot drop into a creek. I had a lot of cuts on my face and hands from the broken glass...but they've all healed up already and I have no scars from them. The left side of my pelvis was broken but it broke clean and the bones were still aligned which meant I didnt have to have surgery. My right leg was bruised up pretty bad from the transmission shifting and wacking into it. The bruise is almost healed up but there's still some hard knots in there from trapped blood that will take a couple more weeks to reabsorbe into the system. Other than that there were no major injuries. I tossed the walker last week and walking on my own now, but with a heavy limp. The doctors say it'll be another 3-4 weeks until I have a full 100% complete recovery and I'll be able to walk, run, play sports just like before... thats important to me because I was heavily involved in Taekwondo before the accident... I was just getting back into the sport after more than a year of not competing. I used to compete on the national level and was hoping to return... I still do. Anyways thanks for all the support guys, I really appreciate it. As for my next car... sorry but I've decided not to get another Z...at least not now. Im thinking about geting a 93+ RX-7 5 speed... I've always loved that bodystyle. I'll probally get a nice ZTT again in a year or so after I get my degree.
